Our goal is to provide quality individualized specialty medical care in a timely manner. “No-shows” and late cancellations inconvenience those individuals who need access to medical care in a timely manner. We would like to remind you of our office policy regarding missed appointments and late arrivals. This policy enables us to better utilize available appointments for our patients in need of specialty medical care.
Cancellation of an Appointment
In order to be respectful of the medical needs of other patients, please be courteous and call our office promptly if you are unable to show up for an appointment. This time will be reallocated to someone who is in need of treatment. If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled appointment, we require that you call at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand, and your early cancellation will give another person access to timely medical care.
How to Cancel Your Appointment
To cancel your appointment, please call 715-828-2368. If you do not reach the receptionist, you may leave a detailed message on the voice mail. If you would like to reschedule your appointment, please leave your phone number. We will return your call and give you the next available appointment time. Please note, a late cancellation is considered when a patient fails to cancel their scheduled appointment with a 24 hour advance notice. We will consider each late cancellation a “no-show”.
No Show Policy
A “no-show” is someone who misses an appointment without cancelling it in an adequate manner. A failure to be present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recorded in your medical record as a “no-show”. We understand that urgent circumstances could arise that might prevent you from cancelling your appointment ahead of time. As a courtesy, we will not post a charge for a first missed appointment. For additional missed appointments, a $25.00 fee will be billed to your account.
Late Arrival to an Appointment
We understand that even the most organized person can occasionally run late sometimes. If that is the case, call us before your appointment time. We will reschedule your appointment for a time that is better for you. If you are late for the appointment but do not call us, we will likely give your time away to another patient. Patients arriving early, on time, or up to 10 minutes late will be seen in the order they were scheduled. Sick patients arriving 10-30 minutes late will be seen, but will have to wait while we see patients who were on time. Well patients (routine follow up) arriving 10-30 minutes late will be asked to reschedule. Any patient arriving more than 30 minutes late will be asked to reschedule in order to maintain timely care for patients who arrive on time.
